The US has failed to pass AI regulation. New York City is stepping up
Julia Stoyanovich, institute associate professor and director of the Center for Responsible AI, commented on NYC’s plan to forge ahead with an AI Action Plan and a proposal for a new Office of Algorithmic Data Integrity: “Especially considering that we were the first ones to start, it really pains me to see that we're not very far along five or six years after we started and no articulation of AI governance principles within the city government.”
