Paola Garcia Cardenas is currently a third-year M.S candidate in Cybersecurity at NYU. As part of the first cohort of NYU Cyber Fellows, class of 2021, Paola is amongst the 20% of women in STEM awarded the fellowship in 2018.

Paola's full-time job is as a Software Developer at Bixal Inc. She is also a NYU graduate teaching assistant for the Information Security & Privacy CS-GY 6813 class, and an adjunct faculty member in the St. Thomas Aquinas College School of Arts & Sciences.

Paola obtained a M.S in Computer Science from Pace University in New York in 2014. Her interests are focused on data integrity, application security, virtual private networks and containerization.
