Dr. Jolie Woodson (she/her) is Assistant Dean of Student Life & Services at NYU Tandon. In this role, she works with Dean Rose on various student life initiatives and she oversees the areas of Student Leadership and Engagement and the Tandon Career Hub. Her higher education experience spans student life, career services, admissions, and alumni affairs. Jolie is passionate about improving student success and persistence and strives to create opportunities for students to thrive personally, academically, and professionally in college and beyond. Jolie enjoys long walks in the city, especially those that take her over bridges and across boroughs; hiking, especially to a waterfall or a viewpoint; and watching horror movies. 

Jolie earned her doctorate in Higher and Postsecondary Education at Teachers College where she studied STEM teaching strategies. She holds a BA in Psychology from New York University, an MSEd in Higher Education Administration from Baruch College's School of Public Affairs, and an EdM in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Teachers College of Columbia University.
