Greenhouse emissions halved by 2025, carbon neutral by 2040
NYU Tandon Dean Jelena Kovačević spoke about the Sustainable Engineering Initiative — a program composed of 22 Tandon faculty members who will conduct research on climate change — during the second annual State of Sustainability address on April 21. “Climate change is a threat to human wellbeing and planetary health. And if we do not act soon, we will miss a brief and rapidly closing window of opportunity to secure a livable and sustainable future for all,” said Kovačević.
