Julia Robinson-Surry

Dr. Julia M. Robinson-Surry is an Industry Associate Professor of Chemistry at New York University Tandon School of Engineering. Previously she was a Visiting Assistant Professor at St. John’s University and an Assistant Professor at Bard HS Early College Queens. Julia received a B.A. in Chemistry from Reed College in 2006 and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2011. Her doctoral research focused on synthetic methodology, with particular emphasis on pericyclic reactions in organic synthesis.

Dr. Robinson-Surry currently teaches general chemistry, organic chemistry, and organic spectroscopy at Tandon. She was awarded the NYU Tandon Distinguished Teacher Award in 2019.
