CUSP Capstone Showcase: Fall 2021
On Friday, December 10th, the Center for Urban Science + Progress (CUSP) will be hosting our fall Capstone Showcase, where students will present their urban data and policy analysis projects, completed in collaboration with research sponsors and faculty advisors.
The Capstone Program is a core part of the educational experience at CUSP. It partners small groups of graduate students with researchers, both at NYU and externally, looking to solve an urban-related problem with the use of applied data science and informatics. This type of meaningful, real-world, practical work is what CUSP is grounded in–using technology and data for the social good.
This semester's projects vary from "The Impact of Urban Agriculture on Food Chain Resiliency and Food Equity in New York City," to "COVID-19 Closure Impacts on Small Businesses and Their Surrounding Communities," to "Bridging Graph Neural Network and Reinforcement Learning for Autonomous Drone Swarm Exploration," and more. Join us for an exciting morning of research findings and insightful recommendations.
