James Hahn

James Hahn is Chairman of Asia Alpha and Asia Alpha Life Science China.  Asia Alpha is a New York-based family office. The Hahn family invests in top-performing venture capital funds and technology companies in New York, Silicon Valley, Israel, and Asia across sectors including Artificial Intelligence, Financial Technology, and Life Sciences.  

Mr. Hahn serves on the Boards of Pontifax Israel Life Sciences Venture Capital Fund, PM European Life Science Venture Capital, and Firstime Israel Venture Capital Fund.  He is a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and serves as a member of the Wharton Undergraduate Executive Board and has served on the Harvard Kennedy School Dean's Council.  His wife Lisa Yoo Hahn (NYU LAW ‘89) serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of NYU.  

Mr. Hahn and his family are supporters of medical research and have created the Hahn Cancer Research Fund at the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center and at the NYU Langone Perlmutter Cancer Center. The Hahn Family has also endowed a permanent scholarship at NYU Langone School of Medicine supporting the Tuition-Free Medical School initiative.  The Hahn Family has endowed Scholarships at Harvard College, Harvard Kennedy School, the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, NYU Stern School, NYU College of Arts and Science, and NYU Tandon School of Engineering.
